The Rotary Club of Lagos District 9110 has installed Mr Ehi Braimah as its 58th president.
Braimah, a public relations, marketing and brand experience professional, assumed office at an investiture ceremony in Lagos last Friday.
Speaking during his inauguration, Braimah said being a Rotarian was an opportunity to take action and make a difference, which would bring about personal rewards and life-long relationships in the process.
He said he was inspired to do good and offer inspirational guidance to youths because of the inequalities and unfortunate circumstances being faced by many people in society.
Braimah added that during his tenure, essential projects with lasting impacts on the communities would be executed, starting with the donation of medical equipment worth about N4m to the Onikan Health Centre and the Roll Back Malaria project aimed at providing mosquito treated nets to 1,000 households.
He stated, “I see the avenue for service, the four-way test and objects of the Rotary as pillars to demonstrate who we are as an inspiration to the youth and the communities. We share common passion and are committed to enhancing communities and improving lives.
“During our year, we intend to grow our membership and contribute at least $15,000 to the Rotary Foundation. Our goal is to earn the prestigious presidential citation when our work is done. I appeal for maximum cooperation and support so that we can serve well and inspire others.”
Braimah joined the Rotary Club about six years ago.
