The Federal Government has condoled with the government and people of Sokoto over the death of 39 people killed in Tabanni Village in Rabah Local Government Area of the state.
The FG delegation led by the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdurrahman Danbazau (retd.), said President Muhammadu Buhari was worried over the unfortunate incident.
Dambazau said, “We are in the state for proper assessment of the situation with a view to finding lasting solution to the problem so as to prevent a recurrence.
“The Federal Government would collaborate with the state government to ensure that the bandits are apprehended and punished according to law.”
Danbazau said government would not relent towards ensuring that adequate protection of lives and property was provided in the country.
Receiving the delegation at Government House, Governor Aminu Tambuwal said the people of the state appreciated the gesture extended to them by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said, “The state had been receiving pressure from that end in the last two and a half years.
“In collaboration with security agencies, we had been making efforts to prevent such an incident from happening, with strategies being mapped out to prevent a recurrence.”
